There are a lots of thing happen between this few month, and I like to share one of it with you all. 🙂 This is my first time own a car by my own, I have dream to have it since 2007 or 2008 (can’t remember which year).. and finally this year, I manage to budget myself to get one for myself..
I call it my Red Devil, in Malaysia you have to pay more than double the car price (due to the Malaysia Tax is very high on automobile) to purchase it. In US, this car selling price at USD 18,100 – 18,950 (refer here), by converting it to RM it will be (18,950 x 3.2) = RM 60,640. If you base on direct conversion they should sell the car at RM 60,640, but the true fact is they selling the car at RM 131,249.00 (USD 41,015) (refer here) and it is not full spec like in US, No Moon Roof, No Boss Sound System, No Push Start Engine, No AFS..
Now Imagine that how heavy is the tax on their people of his country who wish to own a dream car, a car that with 5 Star safety feature on it, a car that we drive with confident? I wonder why, why the current government (BN) Tax their country people so much? Where does Tax money goes? Do they use the money to improve the Road Condition in Malaysia? The answer is NO. Do they use the money to build highway for us to use for free? The answer is NO, we everyday still have to pay Toll to use the highway to go to work, go to school, even go to shopping.. Do they use the money to improve their Shuttle Service? The answer is NO, once you miss a Bus you have to wait next hour for the next Bus or may be the bus don’t even show up on time.
So where does Tax money goes? (Go Google, PKFZ, Khir Toyo Palace.. etc) I hope those are the answer, why there are so many corruptions in this country? Why? Come-on Malaysia, look at your little brother Singapore how successful they are? My answer to you is “We are 25 years behind them!!”
Umm~ seem like I am off-topic again. well let get back to Jolly Little World 🙂
This time is not Jolly on the wheel, but this time is Gorilla on the wheel 🙂 We join the My Mazda Club Cherating Convey (From KL -> Cherating) around 3-4 hours drives. I will write more about the trip at the next post..
Oh.. Before I forget I am going to write a review on this version of Mazda 3 as well.. 🙂
It is 1:42am now, time to get some rest.. Zzzz..
The car is very cool. Given me a good laugh to see the monkey in the driver’s seat, this very funny.
Bea – it’s not s monkey.. it’s a gorilla.. :).. It’s Nici ‘s Gorilla – with the name.. Milo…. It’s my favorite so I’ve my blog named Gorilla Hugs.. 😀 Do visit when you are free.. 😀
It is true. I always feel the same, I’m wrong XD
I changed my address a little bit, wanted to let you know 🙂
Grats on the new car! And a lovely colour aswell 🙂 Just make sure Gorilla has their drivers license somewhere there! And that he can reach the pedals! Or are the other plushies down there helping? hehe.
We are purchasing heavily subsidised fuel.
In countries like Australia, 1L of petrol can go anywhere between AUD 1.20 to 1.80. That equals to something like RM 3.80 to RM 5.80 per litres. This is the standard RON 95.
So yeah, not ALL of the tax money goes to waste.
On a side note, congratulate on your ride.
hey, want to ask, how much did you paid OTR for this car?
or did you use some kind of AP license and import it by yourself?
and you paid full or loan for how many years?
thanks and congrats on your purchase, my dream car too 🙂
I paid around RM 135k OTR. I buy directly from Bermaz outlet. I loan it for 7 years.. 🙂
